Basketball Recap: North Judson-San Pierre Takes a Loss

If North Judson-San Pierre was riding high fresh off their 72-29 takedown of Oregon-Davis last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays took a 43-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Winamac Warriors on Friday. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their defeat to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Winamac got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Will Malchow out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Malchow a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ethan Burgess, who posted nine points.

North Judson-San Pierre has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season. As for Winamac, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

North Judson-San Pierre has already played their next contest (against North Miami), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Winamac wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-27 win against Oregon-Davis on the 18th.
