Softball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Monday just wasn't the day for Madison's offense. They came up short against the Floyd Central Highlanders on Monday, falling 10-0. The Cubs haven't had much luck with the Highlanders recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Floyd Central, they pushed their record up to 20-4 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coming up, Madison will face off against Oldham County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Floyd Central, they will challenge Ballard at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Highlanders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bruins have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
