Basketball Game Preview: Waynesville Tigers vs. Lebanon Yellowjackets

Waynesville is on a three-game streak of home losses, Lebanon a seven-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Waynesville Tigers will host the Lebanon Yellowjackets at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 67-17, which was the final score in Waynesville's tilt against Kickapoo on Friday. The matchup marked the Tigers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lebanon took a blow against Nixa on Friday, falling 87-53. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Eagles are ranked fifth).

Waynesville's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Lebanon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-15.

Waynesville was taken down by Lebanon 46-18 in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Thankfully for Waynesville, Wyatt Carr (who went 7-for-12 en route to 18 points) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
