Baseball Game Preview: Calloway County Lakers vs. McCracken County Mustangs

Calloway County hasn't had much luck against McCracken County recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Lakers will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. Neither Calloway County nor McCracken County posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Calloway County is headed into Monday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Saturday. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of Owensboro Catholic.

Meanwhile, McCracken County faced St. Xavier in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Mustangs lost 6-0 to the Tigers. The game marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Calloway County's defeat dropped their record down to 12-12. As for McCracken County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-7.
