Soccer Recap: First Academy Takes a Loss

After soaring to six goals the game before, First Academy was a bit more limited in their matchup on Thursday. They fell just short of the Mount Dora Christian Academy Bulldogs by a score of 2-1. The game was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but the Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Adam Olivera, who's now up to 13 this season.

First Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5-2. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they moved to 6-8-1 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

First Academy wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Real Life Christian Academy on the 17th. As for Mount Dora Christian Academy, they will take on Hernando Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
