Basketball Recap: Hartford Extends Winning Streak to 12

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Hartford walked away with it. They strolled past the Lamoille Lancers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 68-49. The win was nothing new for the Hurricanes as they're now sitting on 12 straight.

Hartford pushed their record up to 20-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points over those games. As for Lamoille, they moved to 15-8 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Hartford will face off against Harwood at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Harwood knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Hartford likes a good challenge. Lamoille does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
