Basketball Game Preview: Pearl-Cohn Firebirds vs. White House-Heritage Patriots

The Pearl-Cohn Firebirds will head out on the road to square off against the White House-Heritage Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pearl-Cohn is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering LEAD Academy just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

White House-Heritage has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 56-38 bruising from Liberty Creek on Friday.

Pearl-Cohn's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-8. As for White House-Heritage, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 17-5.

Pearl-Cohn came up short against White House-Heritage in their previous matchup back in February of 2017, falling 55-44. Can Pearl-Cohn avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
