Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Maple Heights). They blew past the Garfield Heights Bulldogs 20-1 on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Marvin Wolfe was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out nine batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, TJ Lee was incredible, going 3-for-5 with seven RBI, three doubles, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Maple Heights' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 5-0-1 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Antonio Cunningham was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs and three RBI.

Maple Heights was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Maple Heights' victory bumped their record up to 5-3-1. As for Garfield Heights, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-7.
