Softball Recap: High Tech SD Comes Up Short

High Tech SD dropped down to 8-9 on Thursday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins. They lost 20-2 to the La Jolla Vikings. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in April.

High Tech SD saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grace Gallagher, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

As for La Jolla, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.6 runs over those games.

On La Jolla's side, Jacey Taylor was excellent, firing off three home runs, five runs, and seven RBI while going 4-for-4. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted three or more RBI the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Madison Quach, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

As of now, neither High Tech SD nor La Jolla have any future games scheduled.
