The win was some much needed relief for the Centurions as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak dating back to last season.
Derek Carrillo was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Daniel Joya also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Century was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 216 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gabrielino only rushed for 89.
Meanwhile, Verbum Dei Jesuit was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were beaten by Firebaugh 49-7.
