Softball Recap: Anderson Cubs vs. Lassen Grizzlies

Anderson extended their losing streak to 16 on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 1-19 in the process. They lost 14-1 to the Lassen Grizzlies. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Grizzlies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in April.

Caydence Dial made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Madison Clendenen also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

As for Lassen, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 18-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by six runs or more this season.

On Lassen's side, Kiki Cisneros tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Cisneros a new career-high.

At the plate, Patty Carvalho was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Delilah Delgado, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither Anderson nor Lassen have any future games scheduled.
