KIPP King got a massive performance out of Jesus Ortega, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. John Bridgewater was another key player, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with six stolen bases and two runs.

Meanwhile, Oakland Unity came up short against Leadership on Friday and fell 4-1. Oakland Unity hasn't had much luck with Leadership recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

KIPP King's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Oakland Unity, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
