Softball Game Preview: Harmony Grove Hornets vs. Centerpoint Knights

The Harmony Grove Hornets will head out to square off against the Centerpoint Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Harmony Grove will be strutting in after a victory while Centerpoint will be coming in after a loss.

On Thursday, Harmony Grove made easy work of Parkers Chapel and carried off a 14-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won five matches by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Centerpoint came up short against Genoa Central on Tuesday, falling 13-2. The Knights have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Harmony Grove is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Centerpoint, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.
