Basketball Game Preview: Hermitage Hermits vs. Crossett Eagles

Hermitage is on a five-game streak of home losses, Crossett a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Monday. The Hermitage Hermits will welcome the Crossett Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Hermitage came up short against Lafayette County on Friday, falling 72-48. While losing is never fun, the Hermits can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 224th, while the Cougars are ranked 67th).

Meanwhile, Crossett didn't have quite enough to beat Bearden last Saturday and fell 2-0. The match marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Hermitage's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Crossett, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Hermitage came up short against Crossett when the teams last played back in November, falling 44-36. Can Hermitage avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
