Volleyball Recap: Eagle Valley Comes Up Short

Eagle Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Conifer Lobos. The Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lobos apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2021.

Riley Weatherred paced Eagle Valley's offense, picking up ten kills. Weatherred got some help from Kaitlyn Garvey and her five assists. Corah Pronga controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Among those leading the charge was Cece Johns, who had ten digs and two aces.

Eagle Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Conifer, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Eagle Valley will head out to square off against Summit at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Conifer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Doral Academy Red Rock on the 25th.
