Boulder gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Heritage Eagles. Boulder haven't had any issues with Heritage recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Mikel Mackey and Levi Turner scored both of Boulder's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Boulder is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Ralston Valley at 7:00 p.m. on September 4. As for Heritage, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Denver East at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
