Volleyball Recap: Fleming Island Golden Eagles vs. Orange Park Raiders
With a playoff game on the line, Fleming Island rose to the challenge on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Orange Park Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Eagles sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
The final score came out to 25-13, 25-20, 25-15.
Bailey Montgomery was a one-man wrecking crew for Fleming Island as she had 24 digs and two aces. Montgomery is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 24 or more in the last five games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Alana Santiago, who had five digs and 18 assists.
Fleming Island was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least nine aces in nine consecutive games.
Orange Park's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Rylynn Robinson, who had 18 digs, and Hailey Ingham, who had eight digs.
