Basketball Recap: Grapevine Faith Christian Comes Up Short

Grapevine Faith Christian was the 42-34 winner over Midland Christian when they last played one another back in January of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Grapevine Faith Christian Lions lost to the Midland Christian Mustangs at home by a 48-29 margin on Saturday. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 549th, while the Mustangs are ranked 120th).

Grapevine Faith Christian now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Midland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing All S the next time they take the court. Grapevine Faith Christian will head out to face All S at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Midland Christian will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
