Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Carroll). They were the clear victors by a 23-4 margin over the Freeport Pretzels on Saturday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Thunder as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

West Carroll's victory bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Freeport, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

West Carroll will host Ashton-Franklin Center at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Thunder are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Freeport, they will head out on the road to challenge Guilford at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.27 runs per game on average), something the Pretzels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
