Jefferson extended the longest winning streak in Southern this week by beating Angelou, 48-2. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Democrats.

Los Angeles and South Region 2 played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Los Angeles eventually emerging with a 34-31 victory.

The Huskies' 6-foot-1 quarterback Ramon Gamez is the league leader in passing yards this season with 34. On the ground, Jefferson's Marcus Stamps has rushed for 600 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Stamps. The Jefferson star has one catches for 27 yards.

The top two teams in Southern will face off this week when first place Jefferson takes on second place Fremont. David Wiltz's team defeated the WolfPack last week, while Fremont beat Santee.

Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Democrats take on the Pathfinders. Jefferson's offense has racked up 206 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Fremont has allowed only 129 on the year.

Jefferson took down Ruffin Patterson's team 48-2 last week, the largest margin of any game.
