Basketball Game Preview: East Central HomeSchool Patriots vs. Southern Christian Patriots

After both having extra time off, the East Central HomeSchool Patriots and the Southern Christian Patriots will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East Central HomeSchool is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.

East Central HomeSchool lost 67-43 to Bessemer Academy two weeks ago. The Patriots have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Josiah Dumas, who posted eight points and 14 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.6 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Greyson Boyd, who put up 16 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Southern Christian against Varsity Opponent two weeks ago as the team secured a 68-23 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Patriots.

Southern Christian now has a winning record of 2-1. As for East Central HomeSchool, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-4.

Everything came up roses for East Central HomeSchool against Southern Christian in their previous matchup back in January, as the squad secured an 82-45 win.
