Football Recap: Wyomissing Starts Season with Victory Against Southern Columbia Area

Wyomissing had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Southern Columbia Area Tigers with a sharp 49-27 win. The Spartans haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Although Southern Columbia Area took the loss, they still got scores from Grady Garcia, Parker Persarchick, Gavin Brown, and Caden Hopper.

Looking ahead, Wyomissing will take on Haverford at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Southern Columbia Area, they will challenge Loyalsock Township at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Tigers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
