Volleyball Recap: El Monte Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when El Monte faced off against Rosemead on Monday. El Monte lost 3-0 to Rosemead. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

The final score came out to 25-8, 25-14, 25-10.

Rosemead found their leader in sophomore Vuong Andy Pham, who had nine digs and three aces. That's the most aces Pham has posted over his last six contests.

El Monte's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Rosemead, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. El Monte will venture away from home to challenge Mountain View at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Rosemead, they will head out to square off against Gabrielino at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Gabrielino will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Rosemead surely won't give up without a fight.
