Basketball Recap: Peoples Baptist Academy Knights vs. Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors

After flying high against the Appling Christian Academy Eagles last Thursday, the Peoples Baptist Academy Knights came back down to earth. Peoples Baptist Academy was dealt a 76-35 loss at the hands of the Conquerors on Monday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Peoples Baptist Academy in their matchups with the Conquerors: they've now lost five in a row.

Old Suwanee Christian was led to victory by Jon Rojas and Amari Chatman. Rojas scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Chatman scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. Rojas hasn't dropped below 15 points for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was John Barr, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Peoples Baptist Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Old Suwanee Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season.

Peoples Baptist Academy will head out on the road to challenge the Warrior at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Old Suwanee Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. War Hill Christian Academy is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
