On Tuesday, Murphysboro earned a 2-0 win over Harrisburg. The victory continues a trend for the Red Devils in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Murphysboro not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Harrisburg between 16 and 18 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Carterville's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to Massac County.

Carterville was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-21.

Carterville's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for Murphysboro, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.
