Softball Game Preview: Shorewood Stormrays vs. Arlington Eagles

The Shorewood Stormrays will face off against the Arlington Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Arlington is facing Shorewood at the wrong time: Shorewood suffered their first home loss of the season on Friday and they're likely out for redemption. They lost 10-3 to the Bruins. The Stormrays have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Not much got past Ellie Van Horn, who gave up just three hits and racked up 12 Ks to keep Cascade off the board. Van Horn has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

At the plate, Shorewood saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lillian Perreault, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Rose Gallagher also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, Arlington came up short against Snohomish on Friday, falling 9-1.

Shorewood's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Arlington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
