Volleyball Game Preview: Flowing Wells Caballeros vs. Canyon del Oro Dorados

Flowing Wells hasn't had much luck against Canyon del Oro recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Caballeros will welcome the Dorados at 6:00 p.m. Flowing Wells will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more sets each matchup than the last.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Flowing Wells turned things around against Nogales on Thursday. They came out on top against the Apaches by a score of 3-1.

Flowing Wells was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-14, 11-25, 25-21.

Flowing Wells' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Rhyleigh Marshall, who had four digs and three aces, and Ashley Evano, who had 14 kills, four digs, and three aces. What's more, Marshall posted four kills, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Angelica Ante also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Flowing Wells was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Canyon del Oro got the win against Cienega last Thursday by a conclusive 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Dorados in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won three in a row.

Canyon del Oro now has a winning record of 12-11. As for Flowing Wells, their victory bumped their record up to 4-10.
