Volleyball Recap: Downingtown West's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Downingtown West needed a changed in momentum after dropping three straight matches and they got it from Aubrey Loescher. Everything went the Whippets' way against the Sun Valley Vanguards on Monday as they made off with a 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Loescher, who had 17 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

While Downingtown West won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-22, 25-10.

Downingtown West's win bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for Sun Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season.

Downingtown West has already played their next match (against Kennett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Sun Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Bishop Shanahan on the 14th.
