Football Recap: Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering Takes a Loss

Thursday just wasn't the day for Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's offense. They fell 6-0 to the Memphis Business Academy Execs on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 50 points in the game before, the Phoenix's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 5-4. As for Memphis Business Academy, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering will take on rival Fairley on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Phoenix 11.4, the Bulldogs 10.9) so any points scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Memphis Business Academy is set to challenge their familiar foe Trezevant at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
