Volleyball Recap: South Gwinnett Comes Up Short

South Gwinnett was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Meadowcreek Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

South Gwinnett took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-19, 21-25, 14-25, 25-12, 15-5.

South Gwinnett now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Meadowcreek, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, South Gwinnett will face off against Duluth at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Meadowcreek, they will challenge Rockdale County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
