Baseball Recap: Soper Takes a Loss

Soper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Achille Golden Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bears of the 9-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Soper's loss dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Achille, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Soper and Achille will both be playing Milburn the next time they take the field. The Golden Eagles will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bears will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
