After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Terry, Fort Bend Kempner was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Fort Bend Marshall Buffalos with a sharp 15-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Buffalos: they've now won seven in a row.

Torri Medrano made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. Medrano was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing Four bases. while going 3-for-3. She also hit two doubles, marking her first of the season.

In other batting news, Sydney Hatch was incredible, scoring five runs and stealing Eight bases. while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Kempner will challenge Lamar Consolidated at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Lamar Consolidated will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Fort Bend Kempner surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fort Bend Marshall, they will face off against Victoria East at 2:00 p.m. on March 18th.
