Basketball Recap: Fulton Science Academy Takes a Loss

Fulton Science Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were beaten by The King's Academy Knights 83-37. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 443rd, while the Knights are ranked 160th).

Fulton Science Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luca Arasi, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Boomer Vowels, who earned 11 points.

Fulton Science Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for The King's Academy, they pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Fulton Science Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Cristo Rey Atlanta at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Cristo Rey Atlanta's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. The King's Academy has already played their next match, a 74-53 win against Johnson Ferry Christian Academy on the 20th.
