Basketball Recap: Compton Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Compton had lost 11 straight headed into Monday's game, but Xavier Goodlow didn't let it get to 12. The Compton Tarbabes put the hurt on the Wilson Mules with a sharp 89-63 victory on Monday thanks in part to Goodlow, who went 13 of 17 on his way to 32 points and five steals. Those 32 points gave him a new career-high.

The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Schorea, who went 7 for 15 en route to 19 points and six assists. His evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Compton's win bumped their record up to 3-14. As for Wilson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Compton will welcome Woodrow Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wilson, they will head out to face off against Marshall at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marshall knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Wilson likes a good challenge.
