It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Hunt ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Fike Demons 3-2. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Hunt's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Doll, who went 1-for-3 with one double. Zach Taylor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Hunt's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Fike, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hunt will head out to face off against Southern Nash at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fike, they will venture away from home to square off against South Johnston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The last three games the Trojans have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
