Chris Barela Has Career Rushing Day
Starting off the list is La Junta's Chris Barela, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 82-yard run.

Woodland Park Gets a Boost from Joseph Schoenberger in 42-6 Victory
Marqus Joseph Schoenberger was instrumental in extending Woodland Park's winning streak to seven on Friday. Joseph Schoenberger was dynamite, rushing for 94 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 27 yards and a touchdown. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending a pass.
Joseph Schoenberger will have a chance to log another big game when he takes on Manitou Springs on Friday. The Panthers got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Mustangs, probably because Joseph Schoenberger had a solid game then too: he threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns. Can he match (or beat) that performance?

Moore Posts Huge Game in 28-14 Defeat
Manitou Springs was sadly handed a defeat on Thursday, but Logan Moore did his best to prevent it. Nobody could stop Moore as he rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns.
Moore must have Lamar's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Moore saw the Thunder), he rushed for 113 yards on only 15 carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards and a touchdown.
