Basketball Game Preview: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Taft Eagles

Two dominant guards in Jamilah Jackson and Gabriela Gonzalez are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Westinghouse Warriors will face off against the Taft Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Westinghouse didn't have too much trouble with Oak Park-River Forest as they won 51-33.

Taft fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Deerfield 39-37.

Westinghouse's record is now 9-10. As for Taft, their record now sits at 8-15.

Westinghouse came out on top in a nail-biter against Taft in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, sneaking past 46-44. The rematch might be a little tougher for Westinghouse since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
