Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Baker). They breezed past the Zion Chapel Rebels to the tune of 49-6 on Friday. The Gators' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Baker was led to victory by Justice Baldwin and Calvin Wilks III. Baldwin threw for 101 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 83.3% of his passes, while Wilks III rushed for 55 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Baker was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 247 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 168 rushing yards in four consecutive matchups.

Baker didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Riley Renfro and Joel Morse.

Baker's record is now 8-0. As for Zion Chapel, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baker will take on Freeport at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Gators will be up against the Bulldogs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Zion Chapel, they will square off against Calhoun at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
