Football Recap: Dansville Aggies vs. Stockbridge Panthers
Dansville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Stockbridge Panthers, falling 34-9. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Aggies of the 40-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.
Even if they lost, Dansville's defensive line still kept up the pressure with six sacks. Chris Matyas was especially locked on to Stockbridge's QB and sacked him twice.
Noah Sandecki was his usual excellent self, picking up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 108 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries for Stockbridge. Those 108 rushing yards gave Sandecki a new career-high. Brandon Hamlett handled things on the ground, rushing for 80 yards and a rushing touchdown.
Dansville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Stockbridge, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.
