Recap: Tallwood Lions vs. Green Run Stallions
Sadly, the Tallwood Lions are still looking for their first win of the season after 21 matches. They had to suffer through a rough 56-9 loss at the hands of Green Run. While losing is never fun, Tallwood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 374th, while Green Run is ranked 65th).
Despite the defeat, Tallwood saw an underclassman step up: Faith Gray scored seven points.
Tallwood's defeat was their 11th straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-21. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.5 points per game. As for Green Run, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.
Tallwood does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Green Run also has no future games currently scheduled.
