Volleyball Recap: Olean Takes a Loss

If Olean was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Dunkirk on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Huskies lost 3-0 to the Falconer Golden Falcons on Wednesday. The Huskies were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-19, 25-18.

Elizabeth Bailey paced Olean's offense, picking up six kills. Bailey got some help from Ariana Finch and her 19 assists.

Olean's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Falconer, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Olean will venture away from home to take on Jamestown at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Falconer, they will face off against Randolph at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
