Baseball Recap: Hudson Falls' Win Ends 16-Game Losing Streak on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glens Falls, Hudson Falls was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the South Glens Falls Bulldogs. For the Tigers, this counts as revenge for the 5-1 victory the Bulldogs walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.

Dominic Gotte-Seymour spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on five hits.

At the plate, Hudson Falls saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Richard Rosick, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Rosick is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Hudson Falls' win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-10. As for South Glens Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7.

South Glens Falls wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 13-0 victory against Gloversville on the 15th. Hopefully Hudson Falls paid attention to the Bulldogs' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Bulldogs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
