Baseball Recap: Central Makes It 18 in a Row at Home

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Central had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Philadelphia Academy Charter Chargers. The win continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won five in a row.

Central's victory was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-8. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.1 runs. As for Philadelphia Academy Charter, they moved to 8-5 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak.
