Volleyball Recap: West Morris Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

West Morris Central entered their matchup against Mount Olive on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wolfpack fell just short of the Marauders by a score of 2-1. Wolfpack fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Marauders since Tuesday.

West Morris Central actually scored more points across those three sets (73-69), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-23, 17-25, 27-25.

Mount Olive was led to victory by Genessa Baltazar and Jazmine Laroche. Baltazar had 16 digs and three assists, while Laroche had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most assists Baltazar has posted over her last six contests. Keira Abrusci also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

West Morris Central's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Mount Olive, they pushed their record up to 15-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. West Morris Central will square off against Wayne Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mount Olive, they will head out to challenge Villa Walsh Academy at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
