Basketball Recap: Seven Straight Home Wins for Garber

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Garber ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 51-44 victory over the Pawhuska Huskies. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wolverines also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2024.

Several Huskies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Darien West, who went 5 of 10 en route to 10 points along with five boards and four steals. That's the most steals West has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lane Kyler, who went 6 for 11 on his way to 13 points and seven rebounds.

Garber's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.1 points per game. As for Pawhuska, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-12.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Garber will challenge Crescent at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Pawhuska has already played their next game (against Pawnee), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
