Baseball Recap: River Forest Comes Up Short

River Forest lost against Glenn back in May of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Ingots fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 6-5.

Johnny Brock and Walter Jaime stepped up to the plate in a big way. Brock went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI, while Jaime got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Jaime is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Sebastian Collazo IV, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.

River Forest's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Glenn, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-4.

River Forest wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, an 8-3 victory against Tippecanoe Valley on the 19th. As for Glenn, they have also already played their next game, a 14-2 defeat against DeKalb on the 19th.
