On Saturday, Leake Academy faced East Rankin Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Leake Academy Rebels took a 42-34 hit to the loss column at the hands of the East Rankin Academy Patriots. The contest marked the Rebels' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Leake Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances.
