Volleyball Recap: West Ridge Gets the Win

After losing to Anderson County the last time they met, West Ridge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Wolves had just enough and edged out the Mavericks 2-1 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

West Ridge found their leader in sophomore Katherine Hortenstine, who had 11 digs and six assists. Those 11 digs set a new season-high mark for Hortenstine. Another player making a difference was Myra Copas, who had 13 assists and three digs.

West Ridge now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Anderson County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

West Ridge didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Cleveland on the 23rd. As for Anderson County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Powell on the 26th.
