Soccer Game Preview: Kilgore vs. Pine Tree

Kilgore is 0-3 against Pine Tree since January of 2015 but things could change on Tuesday. The Kilgore Bulldogs will welcome the Pine Tree Pirates at 6:45 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Kilgore will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Henderson, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. Kilgore won by a goal and slipped past Henderson 3-2. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Lions are ranked 582nd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, everything went Pine Tree's way against Center on Friday as Pine Tree made off with a 9-1 win.

Pine Tree's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three contests. As for Kilgore, their win bumped their record up to 6-3-2.
