Baseball Recap: North Posey Comes Up Short

North Posey easily dispatched Evansville Reitz on Saturday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Vikings fell just short of the Evansville Memorial Tigers by a score of 6-4 on Monday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Colby Angel was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Ethan Mansfield, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

With the defeat, North Posey broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 17-8. As for Evansville Memorial, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-3.
